Now the leek soup booster diet finished. I weighed myself this morning and in 2 days I lost one pound, my goal was two but one is good also. Next comes step two of the weight loss marathon: healthy choices and proportion control.
Today was a difficult day for a diet. We went on a trip and eating healthy on the go is not always easy. In preparation for our trip, I peeled carrots, cut up cucumbers, pack hummus vegetable dip and washed grapes. This worked well for our lunch but for dinner we got too hungry and I ended up eating 1 chicken shawarma and half a falafel sandwich. When I got home in the evening I had some grapes and a small piece of chicken breast. We will see at the end of the week how my weight is going.
Weight loss is a process. Running to check the scale every day has no benefot. The best way to track your weight is to weigh yourself once a week and record it in some fashion. Some people post a table on the wall to record their weight. Personally, I prefer the My Fitness Plan app for mobile phones, you can also make an account online and enter your weight there. It also has a great data base which allows you to check calories and nutritional content of foods. You can also use it as a food diary and record what you eat. This is not an endorsed advertisement just my tips to help you along your way to a healthier you.
Tomorrow will also be a long day outside the home. It will be another challenge but hopefully I learnt from my mistakes today and I will not wait until I am too hungry to get something to eat so I will not over eat again. Weight loss and healthy eating is a process, it takes time to get used to it and find the routine that works best for you.
